- Time to let the Creativity Flow! -

​The crafter's retreat is for all those who love crafting- whether it be sewing, quilting, drawing, or sculpting- but can never find the time to just sit down and enjoy it. Here we tailored each class to be unique and fun for everyone, and is a perfect way to both enjoy what to love and learn something new!

The classroom can also be rented for groups like book clubs, art clubs, scrap-booking, bookbinding, church groups, and more!

Collage Club

Embellishing a Canvas Bag - Applique Embroidery

In this class, you will learn the process of Applique with an embroidery machine. We will talk about what you can put an applique design on. You will get some tips and tricks to make a beautiful holiday themed bag. Please bring your embroidery machine, 5x7 hoop, and your embroidery machine thumb drive.

Starbaby by Quiltworx

Starbaby is a simple quilt that can be a wall hanging, table topper or a baby quilt. This quilt finishes at 38” square (or 40” with border). You will learn in class how to make Lonestar blocks using Judy Niemeyer’s techniques. Bring your favorite fabric collection to produce this quilt.

Embroidery and Sewing Work Shop - Hooded Towels

Day one: Put an Applique on the hand towel using your embroidery machine. Day two: Sew up the small towel and attach it to the large towel using sewing machine.

Advanced Rope Bowl Shapes

Learn various techniques/tips to create new bowl shapes beyond a circle or oval. The new techniques will open the door to being able to make geometric shapes like a triangle, square, or rectangle. You will also be able to sew other shapes like a heart, figure 8, or cross and ultimately be able to design some of your own simple bowl shapes as well - dog bone bowl anyone?

We will be discussing how to clean, feed and maintain your Singer 221 Featherweight sewing machine. Topics will be cleaning, oiling, lubricating gears and motor, tension adjustments, polishing your machine.
